As an Artist, I have always been drawn to abstract expressionism + minimalism due to their simplicity, impulsiveness and expansive aperture of interpretations. 

I believe my abstracts manifest my life experiences, my internal emotions and my external surroundings. While painting, the dominant need for control and structure battles with my suppressed youthful impulsiveness. By nature, I am drawn to clean + pure colors.  The use of these pristine colors, impatient brush strokes and an ascendant need for control is what drives the overall composition of my pieces.  

Each work begins impulsive, immediate and strong; then ends with a disciplined choice of acrylics, watercolors, inks, glazes and other mediums to control the eagerness and haste-- evincing a balance of ME.
