inspiration: A Modern Nursery

It's literally impossible NOT to be inspired by Cotton & Quill AND Zak + Fox.  Each are pioneers in the textile industry, yet on completely OPPOSITE ends of the spectrum. Cotton & Quill takes Southern Prep to an entirely different level; while Zak + Fox creates cutting edge textiles that are in a realm of their own.

When creating this abstract, I wanted deep/dark variations while encompassing dreamy pastels. While sounding easy, a balance between the two poses a delicate challenge.  Upon finishing this abstract, I was BEYOND pleased with how the 'dark' and 'dreamy' complimented each other creating a soft - grittiness that would essentially compliment the amazing textiles created by Cotton & Quill and Zak + Fox. -LANA

inspiration: Rag & Bone's Shades of White

I am loving the white, white and more white trend that is happening in the universe right now. White is such a pure and subtly - bold color. Yes, I consider white a color. Not only do I consider white a color; white is my FAVORITE color. I love to wear it, decorate with it and most of all paint with it.

Rag & Bone is one of my all time go to's for jeans, boots and jackets. They definitely nailed it this season with their beautiful palette of white tones.

My monochromatic Abstracts were inspired by the clean, crispness and ease of chicness Rag & Bone oozes into my life.  -LANA

inspiration: Tory Burch 2017 Runway

For those of you who follow along on instragram, you know that my Abstracts vary immensely in look, style and texture. This is due to my inspirations coming from so many different outside influences.  As most of you also know, my design approach varies a bit from most artists.  I ONLY paint/create when I am inspired; therefore, I always keep an eye out for something or someone to inspire me. A lot of my inspiration comes from fashion and interior design because they are both a HUGE part of my life.  My latest work was solely inspired by the truly amazing Tory Burch.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is obsessed with Tory Burch's Spring 2017 Runway looks. Her latest launch has beyond reignited my, sad to say, faded love for the once - and again -  iconic line. She has definitely been 'recrowned' in my opinion as the quintessential queen of effortless East Coast to West Coast style.

I created this modern landscape for an East Coast meets West Coast Home that is relaxed and effortlessly chic. -LANA
